01. The Challenge
Biswa Bangla, a project initiated by the West Bengal Government to promote and showcase the state’s culture, heritage, and artisanal products, sought to create a stall branding in Kolkata and Bangalore. The challenge was to design a stall that would represent the essence of Bengal while appealing to diverse audiences in both cities. The branding needed to communicate the richness of Bengal’s traditions and products, attract visitors, and create an immersive experience.
02. The Solution
MadHouse, in collaboration with a team of skilled designers and craftsmen, developed a comprehensive solution for Biswa Bangla’s stall branding in Kolkata and Bangalore. The goal was to create an authentic and captivating stall design that would resonate with the cultural ethos of Bengal and effectively engage visitors in both cities.
To address the challenge, the team first conducted extensive research into Bengal’s cultural heritage, traditional crafts, and artisanal products. They worked closely with the West Bengal Government to understand the vision behind Biswa Bangla and the unique aspects of Bengal’s culture that needed to be showcased.
Based on their research, the team crafted a stall design that showcased Bengal’s rich cultural heritage. The stall featured traditional motifs, vibrant colors, and artisanal elements that represented various crafts from different regions of Bengal. Handwoven textiles, pottery, paintings, and other craft forms were integrated into the stall’s aesthetics, creating an immersive experience for visitors.
To attract visitors, the stall design incorporated interactive elements, such as touchscreens or virtual reality displays, to provide in-depth information about Bengal’s culture, products, and initiatives. Additionally, the stall offered live demonstrations by skilled artisans, allowing visitors to witness the craftsmanship firsthand.
03. The Result
The collaboration between MadHouse and the team of designers and craftsmen resulted in a highly successful stall branding project for Biswa Bangla in Kolkata and Bangalore.
In both cities, the stall became a major attraction at the events or exhibitions it was featured in. The authentic representation of Bengal’s culture, heritage, and artisanal products left a lasting impression on visitors.
